Darby Kolb

Darby Kolb has found her way to the NJ School of Conservation after enjoying over thirty years of teaching at Hamburg School in Sussex County. Her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education served her well as she taught first through fifth grades and advised the middle school environmental club. Over the years, Darby has volunteered in wildlife rehabilitation at the Alaska Raptor Center, Antler Ridge Wildlife Sanctuary and Avian Wildlife Center. She attends local Women and Their Woods events through the Ridge and Valley Conservancy (which is now part of The Land Conservancy of NJ) to learn more about forest ecology and how to improve woodland habitat. Darby loves sharing her enthusiasm and curiosity about nature with others and is happy to do so as a Master Educator at the NJSOC.
