The School Partnership Program at the NJ School of Conservation

The NJSOC School Partner Program matches corporate and individual supporters with New Jersey Schools to provide hands-on NJSOC field experiences for K-12 students. The School Partnership Program encourages community-minded businesses to invest in environmental education and STEM/STEAM learning for schools that would not otherwise be able to afford to visit the NJSOC. Our donors share in our vital work to inspire the next generation to become better stewards of the earth. As a School Program Partner, your support will deliver meaningful and memorable outdoor learning for K-12 students across New Jersey.

Although the NJSOC strives to keep our programs affordable, schools must also pay for busing, an on-site nurse, overnight pay, and substitute teachers. NJSOC School Partners help close the gap between what a school can afford and the true cost of their trip.  NJSOC fees include educational field studies, meals, and comfortable cabin accommodations. Below are examples of the what your School Partner contribution can provide for New Jersey students:

  • $1,000 provides a two-day visit for six students.
  • $2,500 provides round-trip busing for 50 students.
  • $5,000 provides a two-day experience for 30 students.
  • $7,500 provides busing for three high-need schools.
  • $10,000 provides a two-day experience for 60 students.

Your investment in the NJSOC puts valuable environmental learning within reach for children during their important formative years. As New Jersey schools rise to the challenge of teaching students about pressing environmental challenges, your support will deliver hands-on experiential learning that makes a lasting impact.
