Experience the magic of the NJ School of Conservation as you foster a love of nature and build a sense of community with old and new friends in the outdoors.
During your visit you will participate in experiential activities in the outdoors such as: boating, fishing, archery, rock painting, iPhone photography and hikes. Upon arrival you will have the opportunity to select several activities in which to participate. As an added bonus Dolly Jingles Ice cream truck will stop by with cold treats to purchase!
The gate will be open at 9 am for your check-in and program selections. Please allow plenty of time for travel and arrival (traffic can be heavy on Saturday morning); our Welcome and Orientation will begin promptly at 10:00 am. Individual activities will begin to wrap up around 4 pm as we gather around the campfire at Piney Point with our Storyteller for a special ending.

The Friends of the New Jersey School of Conservation is a U.S. tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. When NJSOC closed in July 2020, the Friends launched a campaign to save it. This ultimately led to negotiations with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, owners of NJSOC, to obtain an interim management agreement for the School. This agreement was finalized in April 2021, and the Friends of NJSOC are proud to offer limited programming at NJSOC with the help of dedicated and talented volunteers. We are pleased to register you for one of our programs!
