Mimi Fenlon spent her young adult years as a camp counselor where she learned to appreciate the smell of the crisp morning air, the sound of an oar pushing through the water, the sight of the fireflies dancing over a stream and the experience of watching kids learn through play and engaging with the natural world. This led her to a career in education. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from The College of NJ, Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from East Stroudsburg University and acquired a Media Specialist Certificate through William Paterson University. After over 30 years in public education as both a special educator teaching science, math and language arts and media specialist, she’s excited to return to an outdoor classroom and inspire future nature lovers to appreciate this beautiful place we call home.
