Carolyn Clark Seifried developed her love of nature through her family and scouting. She attended Rutgers – Cook College graduating with a Bachelor of Environmental Science degree as well as K – 12 Teacher Certification. Carolyn taught Jr and Sr High science in Montgomery Township and then continued her environmental career working for NJDEP and later in private industry as an environmental compliance officer. Throughout that time her focus was on educating site personnel about the importance and reasons behind the various environmental regulations. Fast forward to retirement and Carolyn’s desire to get back outdoors sharing her passion for nature education and began looking for opportunities to do so. Since Carolyn has lived in Layton, NJ for over 30 years and was familiar with SOC from various visits during her younger years, it was easy to decide to bring her skills to SOC as an educator.
