We have been so proud to be a part of the NJDEP Sistas Afield Program that brings families together over a 6 week session to learn fishing, water ecology, specimen identification, catching (fly fishing & spin casting), preparing and ultimately cooking the “big catch”! This program is simply AMAZING and the growth & learning before our eyes on the NJSOC Campus shows us just how valuable outdoor environmental education is for connecting with our children! We cannot thank Liz Jackson and her team enough for choosing the NJ School of Conservation as the site for parts I and II!
Learning to catch, prepare & fillet your fish was the name of the game for the Sistas Afield Team!
