Do you love wildlife? Have you ever wondered about the birds in your backyard that you see and hear every day? Get to know your neighborhood birds! In addition to learning the biology, aesthetic, and recreational values associated with birds, we’ll also learn to identify species by sight and sound. Come see how many birds you can find!
During this program, Junior Birders will complete an “All About Birds” scavenger hunt and a “Binocular Challenge” on a mile-long hike through the NJ School of Conservation campus. Junior Birders will also learn bird calls by being part of a bird chorus and how to attract feathered friends with backyard bird feeders.
This program is designed for Junior Birders ages 10-14. All participants must be accompanied by an adult. Loaner binoculars will be provided.
